About The Event

FREE TICKET FOR MILITARY, 1ST RESPONDERS
USA Wrestling will provide free tickets to the Senior World Team Trials to military and first responders, as well as their immediate families. This invitation covers both days of the competition, Saturday, September 11 and Sunday, September 12.

 

With this special invitation, USA Wrestling would like to thank our First Responders and any United States Active-Duty Military, Reservist, National Guardsman, Veterans, Retirees, who are currently serving and have served and fought to protect our country. This includes all from the Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force and Coast Guard, plus police officers, firefighters, and EMTs.

 

First Responders and all service members must provide proof of service to participate. All they must do is show one of the following at the Box Office at Pinnacle Bank Arena on those days:

  • A valid fire and police photo ID
  • Fire and police badges and identification cards are accepted only if accompanied by a photo ID
  • Department of Defense Identification Card (non-expired CAC Card)
  • DD-214
  • Veteran Health Identification Card (VHIC)
  • Veteran ID Card

FACE COVERINGS REQUIRED
All attendees will need a face covering. Face coverings must be worn throughout the event covering the mouth and nose. Please bring your own face covering.

CASHLESS AT CONCESSION STANDS
Starting September 1, 2021, we have gone all cashless at our concession stands and bars. This will allow you to get your order faster and provides a safer environment for everyone. 

USA Wrestling is pleased to announce that the 2021 Senior World Team Trials will be held at the Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln, Neb., Sept. 11-12.

This event will determine the U.S. team that will compete in the 2021 Senior World Championships set for Oslo, Norway, October 2-10. This World Championships will feature the 10 World Championship weight classes in all three of the disciplines (men’s freestyle, women’s freestyle, Greco-Roman).

Please note that depending upon the results from the Olympic Games in Tokyo, and based upon the decision of Olympic medalists whether they choose to compete at the Senior World Championships, there could be some weight classes that are not contested in Lincoln.

Only U.S. citizens who meet the Senior age group requirements and have fulfilled the existing qualifying procedures are eligible to participate in the 2021 Senior World Team Trials.

Session I: 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Challenge Tournament: Preliminaries, Quarterfinals (4Mats) and Consolation Rds* (ALL STYLES AND WEIGHTS)

 

*All Championship matches will wrestle prior to Consolation Rounds

 

Session II: 5:30 PM - 8:30 PM
Challenge Tournament: Semifinals and Consolations (4 Mats)
(ALL STYLES AND WEIGHTS)

 

Sunday, September 12

Session III: 10:00 AM - 1:30 PM
Challenge Tournament: Consolations, 3rd Place * (4 Mats)
*True 3rd (IF NEEDED)
(ALL STYLES AND WEIGHTS)

 

Session IV:  2:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Final 2 out of 3 Championship Series (4 Mats) 
(ALL STYLES AND WEIGHTS)

 

USA Wrestling is partnering with the Lincoln Convention and Visitors Bureau and the MWC Wrestling Academy to host this event.
