Presented by State Farm

February 10, 2017

About The Event

The Chicago Cubs Trophy Tour, presented by State Farm, is giving fans the opportunity to see and take photos with the 2016 World Series Trophy. The trophy will be at Pinnacle Bank Arena from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. on Friday, February 10.

Pinnacle Bank Arena will guarantee the first 500 fans will receive a wristband to ensure their ability to see the trophy. Additional fans will be accommodated, if time permits.

"We want to get as many fans in so things will move fast," said Tom Lorenz, general manager of Pinnacle Bank Arena.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Unfortunately, the Trophy can only be here for a limited time and we cannot guarantee everyone in line will see the trophy. Event hosts will try to keep you informed about your chances to see the Trophy as we see the progress of the line and learn how many fans time will allow.

  • Please be patient and courteous to those around you in line
  • Please plan to have everyone from your party wait in line together
  • Public restrooms are available; you may leave your place in line and return if needed
  • Keep all coats, chairs, blankets, purses and other personal belongings with you at all times. The Chicago Cubs or Pinnacle Bank Arena are NOT responsible for lost items

Once you are near the Trophy:

  • Take off your coat, hat, purse. Anything you do not want in the photo can be handed to a staff person who will bring it to the other side of the room and you can pick it up on your way out
  • You may take an individual photo or a group photo but not both. If a group, only one camera/ cell phone will be used
  • Turn your flash off
  • Turn your zoom off

Thank you in advance for helping to make this historical celebration a success!

If you don't get to see the Trophy, check out the website for future stops.

About The World Series Trophy
The World Series Trophy, also known as the Commissioner's Trophy, was originally created by Major League Baseball in 1967. In 2000, Major League Baseball commissioned Tiffany & Co. to redesign the trophy. The 24-inch trophy features 30 flags, one for each MLB team, with latitude/longitude lines symbolizing the world, and 24-karat vermeil stitches representing those on a baseball. The sterling silver trophy weighs approximately 20 pounds and stands 24 inches high with a diameter of 11 inches. Etched on the base are the words, "Presented by the Commissioner of Baseball," along with the signature of Baseball Commissioner Robert D. Manfred Jr. Master artisans employ age-old techniques - spinning, silversmithing, chasing, hand engraving, and polishing - to create the trophy. Each year, one full-sized trophy is constructed and presented to the winner of the World Series by the Baseball Commissioner.
