Star City Pride Presents 9th Annual Pride Festival

Star City Pride will host the 9th annual Pride Festival July 8-9 outside Pinnacle Bank Arena in the Festival Lot. The Festival promotes and celebrates equality for the LGBTQIA community in Lincoln, and across the state of Nebraska. 

Friday, July 8: 
Star City Pride will host an all-ages Festival with vendors, performances and dancing from 4 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. with vendors opening at 4 p.m.

Entertainment portion of the evening runs from 7:00 p.m. – 12:30 a.m. and features:

• Emcee Jessica West Bower
• Local House Shows: The Real Housewives of Lancaster County, Siren, Lincoln Panty Droppers and the Panic Houze Show.
• Local Drag Kings and Queens
• Special Guest Matthew Steele, Giselle Jacobs and Anita BisQuette.
• D*Funk will have you dancing the night away from 9:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.
• Special Guest appearance from the incredible Dena Cass headlining at 9:00 p.m and 10:30 p.m.
• As the evening winds down DJ Lady Ice will spin us home.
• Food vendors will be selling food from 6 p.m. to 12:30 am. Vendors include:  Heoya, D’Leon’s and Single Barrel.

Saturday, July 11:
The Pride Festival is open to all ages and features:

• Over 35 vendors from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. sharing information, giving away prizes and selling various items.
• Food vendors will be selling food from 4 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.  Vendors include  Heoya, D’Leon’s and Single Barrel.
• The Kid-Zone is open from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. with free face painting and balloon designs from Shades The Clown, arts and crafts, games and prizes for all ages.
• The Main Stage will be jumping from 3:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.  Performers include:
• Emcee Jessica West Bower
• Kids Drag, Dance Groups, Local title holder performances, and live music.
• Speakers: Mayor’s Office, SCP President, LEAPS, ACLU, GLSEN, NAP, PFLAG, Outlinc, LGBTQIA UNL Resource Center, LPS, HRC, Lancaster County Democrats and the Lincoln City Council.

Entertainment

• The Clincher Band at 7:45 p.m.
• Special Guest appearance from the incredible Dena Cass headlining at 9 and 10:30 p.m.
• Pie In The Sky will be headlining from 9:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. You don’t want to miss this notorious cover band!
• DJ Lady Ice will spin us home.
